(Fort Myers, FL: February 3, 2012) - On Friday, February 03, 2012 the Fort Myers Police Department with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested Willie Delaford (d.o.b. 7-8-1983 of Fort Myers) for robbery with a firearm. The robbery happened at the Shell gas station located at 4126 Palm Beach Boulevard on January 25, 2012 at 8:06 p.m. Upon arrival officers learned that three male suspects entered the business armed with handguns and demanded money from the store clerk. Detective Emily DeStefanis also responded to the scene and carefully processed the crime scene. The evidence was submitted to FMPD’s Crime Scene Unit. With the assistance of Crime Scene Technician Trina Maurice, police identified Delaford as a suspect from evidence left at the scene. Police are still working to identify the two remaining suspects. In the surveillance photos Delaford is the first suspect to enter the store in the photo titled (Entrance 1). Police are still looking to identify the second and third suspect. The second suspect is wearing all black and the third suspect has on plaid shorts.
