(Fort Myers, FL: January 25, 2012) - On Wednesday, January 25, 2012, the Fort Myers Police Department’s Special Investigations Group with the assistance of SWAT and uniformed officers conducted a search warrant at two locations in the City. The first search warrant happened at 4907 Zana Drive. Police seized one 38 special revolver, 55 grams of crack cocaine, and nine grams of powder cocaine, 37 grams of marijuana, and nine pills of MDMA. The second search warrant happened at 4856 Archie Lane. Police seized one 44 caliber revolver, one black Henry 22 caliber rifle, 44 pills of MDMA, and four grams of cocaine, miscellaneous drug paraphernalia, and $6,200.00. Police arrested the following people:
- Anthony Brown (d.o.b. 11-8-90 of Fort Myers) was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute (MDMA/ecstasy).
- Lonnie Jones (d.o.b. 10-13-72 of Fort Myers) was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (Oxycodone) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The investigation was in response to citizen complaints of drug activity. The investigation remains ongoing and more arrests are pending in the case.
