Missing Child Located: The Fort Myers Police Department with the assistance of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office located the parents and the child safe at a motel on Fort Myers Beach. DCF has taken custody of the child pending further investigation.
(Fort Myers, FL: January 19, 2012) - On Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 10:36 a.m. the Fort Myers Police Department was asked to assist the Department of Children and Families in locating a child. DCF received a complaint from family and friends that Savannah McDonough (d.o.b. 8-23-2007) hasn’t been seen since Sunday, January 15th. DCF received the complaint on Tuesday, January 17th but has not been able to locate Savannah and her parents. Michelle Medema (d.o.b. 10-8-75) and Benjamin McDonough (d.o.b. 9-11-73) have joint custody of the child. At this time DCF wants contact with Medema and McDonough to ensure the safety of the child.
