(Fort Myers, FL: December 5, 2011) - On Monday, December 05, 2011 at 3:23 p.m. the Fort Myers Police Department responded to the Fifth Third Bank located at 11511 S.R. 82 in reference to a robbery. Upon arrival officers learned the suspect entered the bank and handed the teller a note that demanded money. The note implied the suspect was armed. The teller complied with the demand and the suspect fled eastbound on S.R. 82 with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police setup a perimeter and canvassed the area utilizing K9 and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit but did not locate the suspect. Surveillance photos show the suspect entering the bank and feature him standing in front of the teller.
