(Fort Myers, FL: December 2, 2011) - On Friday, December 02, 2011 at 2:51 am officers responded to the Harbor East Apartments located at 4100 Edgewood Avenue apartment C-35 in reference to an assault. Upon arrival officers leaned that three suspects had forced their way into the victim’s apartment. Once inside one of the suspects stabbed the victim with a knife. The victim was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers setup a perimeter to search for the suspects. Officers near the intersection of Marsh Avenue and Palm Beach Boulevard observed three people who matched the victim’s description of the suspects. Police took the suspects into custody without incident and all three have been positively identified by the victim. The investigation is ongoing. The suspects’ names and charges are not available at this time.
