(Fort Myers, FL: November 24, 2011) - On Thursday, November 24, 2011 at 2:39 a.m. the Fort Myers Police Department responded to a call of shots fired at 3239 Central Avenue. Upon arrival police located a blood trail and spent shell casings. Police learned that there had been a drive-by shooting and the victim of the shooting had been driven to Lee Memorial Hospital by way of a personal vehicle. Christopher Ramirez (d.o.b. 7-3-89 of Fort Myers) was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police have canvassed the area and are currently interviewing witnesses and processing the crime scene. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation.
