(Fort Myers, FL: December 9, 2009) - This morning at 6:41 The Fort Myers Police Department responded to a crash involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Cleveland and Victoria Avenues. The investigation revealed that a male was attempting to cross Cleveland Avenue when he stepped into the path of a gold Toyota car. The pedestrian was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital where he died. No charges will be filed in the case. The pedestrian was not in a cross walk and violated the right of way. Police have identified the victim but have not located his family.
