On July 10, 2014 at 3:45 p.m., the Fort Myers Police Department’s Special Investigations Group conducted a lawful search warrant at 2225 Stella Street, Apartment 3. Detectives were contacted by their co-workers who are assigned to the Community Offender Probation Education Unit (C.O.P.E.) after a routine probation visit at a probationer’s residence with State Probation Officers revealed drugs, drug paraphernalia and a handgun. Two subjects inside the residence to include probationer Andrew Edouard were detained pending the application of a search warrant.
After the residence was secured, detectives conducted a systematic search which revealed the following:
The following items of evidence were located:
• Ruger 9mm semi-automatic handgun
• Six pills of Hydromorphone Hydrochloride
• $260.00 in U.S. currency
• Two grams of MDMA
• Two grams of heroin
• Four grams of marijuana
• Three digital scales, marijuana grinders and packaging materials
Detectives arrested the following subjects:
Andrew Bernard Edouard (d.o.b. 01/14/1990 of Fort Myers): Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of heroin with intent to sell, possession of MDMA with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance to wit; hydromorphone with intent to sell, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Anthony Grajales (d.o.b. 11/13/1995 of Fort Myers): Possession of heroin with intent to sell, possession of MDMA with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance to wit; hydromorphone with intent to sell, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Edouard was placed on two years state probation in October of 2013 for sale and possession of cocaine. “Our strong partnership with state probation coupled with the determination to hold probationers living in the City of Fort Myers accountable led to a great arrest,” said police spokesperson Lieutenant Victor Medico.
