Police Investigating Robbery

On Thursday, August 08, 2013 at 1:43 p.m. the Fort Myers Police Department responded to a robbery at a convenience store located at 4401 Colonial Boulevard. Upon arrival police learned that two male suspects entered the business. One of them distracted the clerk as the other stole money from an office in the store. Once employees figured out what was happening a brief struggle ensued and the suspects fled the scene. No one was hurt. The surveillance photos attached to this press release show the suspects. One suspect appears to be wearing a work shirt that had the name “Harold” embroidered on it. Anyone with information is asked to call FMPD at 321-7700, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS or text message C-R-I-M-E-S (274637) Keyword FMPD. Tipsters can remain anonymous. Anyone with information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the robbery suspect could be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
