Categories: News

On Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 9:39 a.m. the Fort Myers Police Department responded to an apartment in the City’s west district in reference to a sexual assault. Upon arrival officers on the FMPD Alpha Shift met with the victim who had been severely beaten. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police learned that the victim had met the suspect a few weeks ago at a bus stop. During the early morning hours on Saturday, the suspect forced his way into her apartment where the crime occurred. He then fled the scene. Officers secured the apartment for the investigation and issued a “bolo” for the suspect.

Meanwhile, officers were called to another apartment complex in reference to a stolen vehicle. The suspect in that case matched the description of the suspect in the sexual assault and was still on scene. After further investigation, police learned the suspect took the car to get to the victim’s apartment. Officers arrested Terrence Faison (d.o.b. 2-21-87 of 1577 Matthew Drive, Fort Myers) for sexual assault, burglary with an assault, grand theft auto, operating a vehicle without a valid license and violation of probation. Faison is a convicted felon and was on felony probation for burglary, battery and grand theft when police arrested him for the new crimes.
