Police Investigating Robbery

On Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 7:38 p.m. the Fort Myers Police Department responded to a robbery and a shooting at the Tienda Mexicana San Isidro, a small grocery store, located at 1955 Coronado Road.

Upon arrival police learned that a man armed with a gun entered the business and demanded money. During the robbery a customer was shot and sustained a non-life-threatening injury. He was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital. Witnesses described the suspect as a Hispanic male, wearing a white shirt, dark colored pants and a bandana to hide his face. Police set up a perimeter with assistance from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office utilizing K9 but did not locate the suspect. Anyone with information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the robbery suspect could be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
