Shoplifters Stealing Sunglasses on Surveillance

(Fort Myers, FL: October 15, 2012) - The Fort Myers Police Department is investigating a theft to the Grant Eyeglasses store located on Bank Street. On Friday, September 29, 2012 two young men entered the store and stole Costa Del Mar sunglasses. The surveillance video shows the suspects stuffing the expensive sunglasses in their pockets. The first suspect on the video is a white male, wearing khaki cargo shorts, white sneakers and a gray hooded shirt with the lettering “Riverside Wrestling” on the front. The second suspect on video is a white male, wearing a blue t-shirt, white Tampa Bay Buccaneers hat, camouflage shorts and black sneakers. Anyone with information is asked to call FMPD at 321-7700, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS or text message C-R-I-M-E-S (274637) Keyword FMPD.  Tipsters can remain anonymous.

On video-1 at time code 02:7:45 you can see the first suspect putting the sunglasses in the pocket of his hoodie.  On video-2 at time codes 02:6:20 you will see the second suspect putting sunglasses in the pocket of his shorts. Also attached are two jpg still photos of the suspects’ faces.
