Police Arrest Two, Seize Drugs During Search Warrant

On June 20th, 2013, 2014 at 1:15 pm, the Special Investigations Group with the assistance of SWAT, Detective Division, COPE Unit and uniformed officers conducted a lawful search warrant 4381 Meade Avenue. The warrant was the result of information cultivated by Community Policing Officers and concerned citizens. After the residence was secured, the occupants were detained. Detectives conducted a systematic search of the residence. The following items of evidentiary value were recovered: The following evidence was seized:  9.0 grams of marijuana packaged for street distribution  Items of drug paraphernalia including scales, grinders and packaging material  640.00 dollars of US currency, suspected proceeds from drug sales It was apparent to officers that this residence was starting to become a problem in the neighborhood. Based on the evidence found and other indicators, it appears this residence was in the beginning stages of becoming a drug distribution center. It was also evident that drugs were being consumed in the residence. The City of Fort Myers Code Enforcement was contacted due to the residence being in poor condition. Code Enforcement already had an open case against the owner and their investigation is continuing. Detectives arrested the following subjects: 1. Patrick Deriusea 10/18/93 • Possession of drug paraphernalia 2. Allens Orelien 04/22/93 • Possession of marijuana with the intent to sell within 1000’ of a school • Possession of drug paraphernalia
