FMPD Investigating RaceTrac Robbery

On Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 1:53 a.m. the Fort Myers Police Department investigated a robbery at the RaceTrac convenience store located at 2335 Cleveland Avenue. Upon arrival police learned a black male approximately six feet tall, wearing dark clothing, black shoes with white trim on the bottom and a black cloth covering his face entered the business, implied he had a weapon and demanded money from the register. The suspect then fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries during the incident. Police would like the public to review the attached surveillance video and photographs of the suspect. Anyone with information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the robbery suspects could be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
