Police Need Help Identifying Robber

On Friday, May 2, 2014 at 8:15 p.m., the Fort Myers Police Department investigated a robbery to the business at the Subway restaurant located at 3501 Fowler Street. Upon arrival police learned a black male entered the business, brandished a knife and forcefully took an undisclosed amount of cash from the cashier’s drawer. The suspect then fled the business in an unknown direction.

The suspect is further described as heavy-set, short or shaved head, approximately 30-40 years of age wearing all black clothing and a black “Miami Heat” hat.

Police would like the public to review the attached surveillance photos of the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to a call FMPD Detective Myra King at 321-7700, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS or text message C-R-I-M-E-S (274637) Keyword FMPD.  Tipsters can remain anonymous. Anyone with information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the robbery suspects could be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
