Police Conduct Search Warrants and Drug Sweep

Starting on April 17th, 2014 the Fort Myers Police Departments Special Investigations Group with the assistance of uniformed officers conducted a “Roundup” of suspected drug dealers.  This is an ongoing pursuit to curtail and eliminate street level drug sales. 

Undercover drug purchases were made from twenty eight (28) suspected drug dealers resulting in sixty one (121) felony charges. Eleven (11) of the suspects are documented Habitual Felony Offenders.  The majority of sales took place throughout the city of Fort Myers, some near schools, parks and churches.    

The following suspects have been located thus far:

            (Also arrested on April 15th 2014 during a search warrant)

Detectives and officers will continue their efforts to locate the remaining 15 suspects and will be following up on the investigations.  



This operation was preceded by two search warrant investigations on April 15th, 2014

1. Search Warrant 1017 Marsh Avenue apartment 407

On April 15th, 2014 at 9:30 am, the Special Investigations Group with the assistance of SWAT and uniformed officers conducted a lawful search warrant 1017 Marsh Avenue apartment 407 The warrant was the result of information cultivated by detectives and undercover drug purchases over a two month period.

After the residence was secured and the occupants detained, detectives conducted a systematic search of the residence.  The following items of evidentiary value were recovered.  

The following evidence was seized:

 Minimal amount of cocaine hcl (1 gram)
 Small amount of marijuana (2grams)

Detectives received the cooperation of the suspect of the investigation and he took ownership of the drug located in the residence.   

Detectives arrested the following subject:

1. Sebastian Moore 10/22/69 : possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana



2. Search warrant 1546 Live Oak Drive

On April 15th, 2014 at 2:15 pm, the Special Investigations Group with the assistance of SWAT and uniformed officers conducted a lawful search warrant 1546 Live Oak Drive. The warrant was the result of information cultivated by detectives and undercover drug purchases over several months.

After the residence was secured and the occupants detained, detectives conducted a systematic search of the residence.  The following items of evidentiary value were recovered.  

The following evidence was seized:

 Approximately 3 grams of heroin
 Scales, packaging material and cutting agents used to process heroin
 22 caliber North American arms 22 caliber handgun

Detectives received the cooperation of the suspect and obtained a confession to the possession and sale of heroin and possession of the firearm.    

Detectives arrested the following subject:

Charles Dorris 07/15/60 : possession of heroin with the intent to sell, possession
