Upon arrival police made contact with an adult who advised her 10-year old grandson was just approached by an unknown male in front of the Sunterra Apartment complex located at 3541 Evans Avenue.

The juvenile stated he was walking his younger sister to the bus stop when a black male driving a black pickup truck approached and offered him two-dollars. When the juvenile refused the money the black truck drove away northbound and the juvenile ran home.

The black male is further described as having a short haircut and gold upper teeth. The male also had a tattoo across his neck. The juvenile further described the truck as possibly being a Dodge. “The child absolutely did the right thing. Refuse and run home, tell your parents and call police”, said police spokesperson Lieutenant Victor Medico. “Calls like the one received today are a reminder for parents to have the stranger danger talk”, Medico added.
