Police Investigating Bank Robbery

The suspect vehicle was located at 2150 Illinois Avenue


Police have located the vehicle used in the bank robbery. It is confirmed to be a Kia Spectra not a Mazda Protégé. Crime Scene is processing the vehicle. Suspects remain at large.

On Monday, December 23, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. the Fort Myers Police Department responded to a robbery at the Fifth Third Bank located at 2068 Cleveland Avenue. Upon arrival police learned three armed masked males entered the bank demanding money. No shots were fired and no one was hurt. The suspects fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash in a white Mazda Protégé. Images of the actual suspect vehicle and perpetrators are attached. The investigation and the search for the suspects is underway. Anyone with information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the robbery suspect could be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
