FMPD Narcotics Unit a Few Steps Ahead of Robbery Suspects

On Saturday, December 14, 2013, 2:14 a.m. the Fort Myers Police Department responded to a home-invasion robbery at 3758 Lora Street #2. Once on scene the victim, identified as Larry McAfee (d.o.b. 11-22-1975 of 3758 Lora Street #2), advised several masked men entered his home carrying weapons. One of the perpetrators ordered McAfee to the ground and asked several times where the drugs and money were. McAfee advised the robber he did not have any drugs or money because FMPD raided his house a few days earlier. The masked robbers then fled the residence with McAfee’s wallet and cell phone. Fort Myers Police Spokesperson Lieutenant Victor Medico said, “The narcotics unit does an outstanding job in the pursuit to rid our streets of illicit drugs. This incident confirms the reliability of our drug intelligence”. Minor injuries were sustained during the offense.
