Police Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Crash

Update 1: On Thursday, November 28, 2013 at 10:29 p.m. the Fort Myers Police Department responded to a fatal crash involving a pedestrian. It happened in the 4600 block of Colonial Boulevard. Police learned that a pedestrian crossing Colonial Boulevard was hit by a pickup truck in the eastbound lanes. The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk and believed to be under the influence of at the time of the crash. No charges are anticipated against the driver of the truck. Police are currently working to notify the victim’s family.

On Thursday, November 28, 2013 at 10:29 p.m. the Fort Myers Police Department responded to a fatal crash involving a pedestrian. It happened in the 4600 block of Colonial Boulevard. An investigation is currently underway. Right now there is only one lane of travel in both the eastbound and westbound lanes of Colonial Boulevard. Police expect the road to be closed for about the next hour to conduct an investigation.
