Robbery Suspect Caught By Police

On October 9, 2013 at 11:06 p.m. officers on the FMPD Bravo Shift responded to a robbery at a convenience store located at 3038 Cleveland Avenue. Upon arrival police learned that an unknown male entered the business, implied he had a weapon and demanded money. He fled on a bicycle with an undisclosed amount of cash. The clerk provided responding officers with a good description of the suspect. The FMPD Bravo Shift setup a perimeter. Officer Ezra Padgham and his K9 Partner Wotan tracked southbound where they located the suspect’s bicycle near Braman and Cleveland Avenues. Officer Robert Vega located the suspect hiding behind some bushes in the 3400 block of Cleveland Avenue. Police arrested Daniel Dibiase (d.o.b. 10-30-76 of Fort Myers) for robbery.
