Police Arrest Suspect in Stabbing Incident

On Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 3:53 a.m. the Fort Myers Police Department responded to the Village Creek Condominiums located at 2937 Winkler Avenue in reference to a woman who had been stabbed multiple times. Police learned that Caley Patrick (d.o.b. 10-26-89 of 2937 Winkler Avenue #1211) had been attacked by her roommate, Reiyn Keohane (d.o.b. 2-11-94 of 2937 Winkler Avenue #1211). A neighbor assisted Patrick and called 9-1-1 as Keohane fled the scene on his moped. Patrick was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital for life-threatening injuries. Witnesses provided police with a description of Keohane and officers on the FMPD Bravo Shift located Keohane at 8 Georgetown. He was taken into custody without incident. Police arrested Keohane for Attempted Second Degree Murder and was transported to the Lee County Jail. The motive for the crime remains under investigation.
