One sergeant and seven detectives investigate crimes in the Special Investigations Group (SIG). These detectives work undercover and focus on low to mid-level narcotics investigations. Other duties associated with the assignment include prostitution/john reduction, nuisance abatement enforcement, and prescription fraud.

Two SIG detectives are assigned to serve on the DEA Task Force. This task force focuses on mid to high-level narcotics investigations.
