The identification office coordinates all photographic and fingerprint needs of the department, including the photographing of people arrested and the fingerprinting of citizens applying for certain jobs.
The identification technicians also assist in the investigation of crimes through the use of fingerprints and photographs. For example, they can compare fingerprints found on a stolen car to those taken from a suspect during arrest.
Identification Supervisor Donna Mansell also responds to crime scenes to collect important evidence that detectives use to solve cases.
