The Following Applications Are Available For Downloading: Please fill out the City of Fort Myers Application for Employment first. You will be contacted after the screening process if the Personal History Questionnaire is needed.

We are not accepting applications from non-certified out of state applicants at this time.  You may apply if you are certified in another state and meet the Florida Equivalency of Training (EOT) Requirements.  Check back in January of 2009.

IMPORTANT: Additionally, The following documents must be provided with the completed applications. If the documents are not provided, your application will not be processed.

Applicant Checklist:

  • Birth certificate/Proof of U.S. Citizenship
  • Copy of Social Security card
  • Copy of Drivers License
  • Copy of Driving History from Any/All States in which you have possessed a drivers license
  • Copy of High school or GED diploma/transcripts for GED
  • Copy of Highest Educational Degree (High School & College)
  • Proof of Legal Name Change*
  • Three Letters of Professional Reference
  • DD214/Military Discharge with Re-enlistment code* (“long” form)
  • State Exam Test Scores*
  • Florida Law Enforcement Certificate of Compliance (out of state)*
  • Completed Form CJSTC 58
  • Completed Form CJSTC 68
  • Any other documents reflecting your qualifications, if applicable
