FMPD Investigates Weekend Homicide on Louise Avenue

The Fort Myers Police Department responded to an aggravated assault report on Sunday May 13, 2018 at approximately 2:30 a.m. at 322 Louise Avenue. Upon arriving on the scene officers found a male suffering from a gunshot wound who was later identified as Daryl D. Scott (Date of Birth 01/19/1986.) Officers secured the area and began CPR on the victim. Shortly afterwards Lee County EMS arrived on scene and transported the victim to Lee Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.


The FMPD Crime Scene Unit responded and collected evidence and photographed the scene while Detectives interviewed witnesses. This is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.  Police are seeking additional witnesses or others who may have information on this crime.
