FMPD Investigates Gunfire at Willard Street Apartments

Officers with the Fort Myers Police Department responded to a report of shots being fired at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20th at the Jackson Plaza apartments at 2255 Willard Street in Fort Myers. Upon arrival police found Javaris Miller suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Another male, Charles Herzberger was also present but was not wounded. Both men signed complaint withdrawals and Detectives responded to collect evidence and secure the scene. A witness stated that the shooters were black males who fled in a red 4 door vehicle.

This is an active investigation and there is no danger to the general public.
