Barricaded Suspects Surrender Without Violence

On February 3, 2018 at approximately 6:48pm, officers with the Fort Myers Police Department were searching for fugitive Tyrone Sean Davis (DOB January 23, 1976) and located him at the Waterford Apartments, 3585 Central Avenue, Fort Myers. Davis was wanted for a variety of charges including burglary, grand theft and dealing in stolen property. Upon making contact with the suspect at his apartment Davis closed the door, locking himself and a female, later identified as Sandra Gibson, (DOB October 1, 1966) inside and refused to come out. Fort Myers Police called in the S.W.A.T. team along with a K9 Unit and the Hostage Negotiator Team to assist with entry or surrender of Davis.

At approximately 10:50 pm SWAT team officers entered the apartment and Gibson and Davis surrendered themselves to police. Both suspects were arrested and charged with resisting an Officer without violence and Davis was also charged with Burglary, Grand Theft, Dealing in Stolen Property and Defrauding a Pawnbroker. Fort Myers Police were able to apprehend a wanted felon peacefully and without endangering surrounding residents of the complex.
