Fake Credit Cards Confiscated by FMPD

Washington, Terris Devon

A fraudster using fake credit cards to purchase high end merchandise was arrested by Fort Myers Police on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at a local jewelry store. According to the business owner, Terris Devon Washington (date of birth 12/17/90), had previously purchased a watch worth over $13,000.00 from Cerio’s Jewelry using a “Univision” MasterCard. After the purchase was completed and Washington left the store the owner was notified that the card was fraudulent and had been used at other local merchants. Approximately one week later Washington returned to the store attempting to make another purchase using two different “Univision” MasterCard’s but the store owner was aware of the scam and used an offer of a discount if Washington would return later. The owner then contacted the Fort Myers Police Department who were ready when Washington returned accompanied by a female, later identified as Khadijah S. Faison (date of birth 06/30/94). Washington was arrested and charged with Grand Theft. Officers then searched the vehicle Washington was driving and discovered numerous cards with different numbers and companies imprinted on them. The officers collected additional evidence and transported Washington to the Lee County Jail.
